Can anyone confirm if common Knapweed is bad for horses?

We have been offered a load of meadow grass to cut that has been in a conservation scheme and there is lots of what I believe is common Knapweed in it.

We sell to the equine market so need to know for certain or we won't bother making hay from it.

I know russian knapweed is but someone has suggested common Knapweed is as well.

Thanks

It isn't among the two centaurea that are listed as poisonous to equines in the list on Wikipedia.

Common knapweed that you have there, is c. nigra, if it helps you to investigate further, and occurs in flower rich meadows.

Lovely pic of Six Spot Burnet moth, btw.

We are fairly confident it's not but can't find anything to say 100%

Have fired off a few emails to various organisations to try and get confirmation.

Would not be great for business if we got it wrong!
