Looking for a trailed compost turner. Second hand preferable.

CMC-ST-200 „ready to run“ € 12.400,-

CMC-ST-230 € 19.600,-

CMC-ST-300 € 25.200,-

CMC-ST-350 € 38.000,-

All prices without VAT, EXW

I have been considering a TIM turner, that works from the side of the heap, but decided to order a new CMC-ST-300. If anyone is interested, I can pm the contact details (near Middlesborough)

How have you got on with the CMC turner? Did you look at the Traymaster? they can't be far from you in Norfolk

My search had not brought up Traymaster, there is very little detail on their website. They are as far away from us as is possible in Norfolk.
We are really impressed with the CMC, really well designed and built, with great attention to detail.
We really like the facility to lift the turner out of the windrow when you hit something like a lump of concrete, or a kick bar, and break a shear bolt. The shear bolt is designed to be really easy and quick to replace. You can then gently lower the machine back into work and clear the blockage.
We have been really impressed with the result after four turnings, and adding some dirty water where the fym was dried out over the summer. It will certainly vastly reduce wear and tear on the muck spreader.
I wish I had done this years ago

@sjt01 Thank you for your reply and video. How big a heap will it coupe with first time through? We tip in rows out of a roll on 30yd bin which can leave a fairly tall pile about 3-4m high and same in width. Cheers Martin

Our machine is 3 m wide, chosen partly for price and partly for legal height travelling, for electric and phone wire clearance. We tip 14 tonne trailers, trying to keep it to 3 m wide but sometimes it spills a bit wide.
We ordered it without the hydraulic power to the flappers either side of the intake, but found we needed to make them hydraulic which was quite an easy job, using a flow divider. We can now cope with the lumps which spill sideways when tipping.
Our windrows are about 2 m high, which it copes well with, but I think it would struggle with much more as the top of the hood would bulldoze.
