Compost turners

Being very on-trend I'm interested in getting hold of one of these, but don't know where to start.

Basic questions like:

Who sells them (Google no help)
Do I need a creeper box on the deere (which I don't have)
Roughly How much does a 4m machine cost
Are they are general pita?
Etc.

Any advice very welcome. I have a nice selection of pitchforks that I'm really hoping not to use.

Thanks.

Oh dear, is it that much of a dark art?

Muck and mystery...

All I can read is of people getting second hand ones for a song. That would be the ideal, but I don't know where to sing.

Thanks

I have a Menart, calls it'self self-propelled, which it is on a flat, dry, surface, but out in a wet field with a bit of a slope, I would find a tractor with a creeper box, (most Deutzs seem to have them).
Mine is quite old and I didn't pay that much for it, but it does break down fairly regularly. I priced a new 4m a few years back and it was £30,000.
It does a fantastic job when it's working, and makes spreading so much better.

Good luck getting Ian to answer the phone. We tried him a few times, genuinely wanted to buy a turner and he kept putting us off. Luckily we found a second hand one, purely by chance. Wasn't exactly a song, more of an opera, but thrilled to bits with it.

Second hand turners are a bit like mushrooms, if you look too hard you won't find, once you chill a bit they'll reveal themselves to you
