Levucell is a live yeast, as is Biosprint- but different strains. Levucell also has a much lower live cell count compared to Biosprint- so there's less live yeast per gram fed.
we did some trials years ago , it doesnt matter what yeast is used , they all have the same action , basically any yeast removes available oxygen from the rumen that the bad aerobic bugs need to survive , the gaps are then populated by the good anaerobic bugs that breakdown the fibre from forage , We had very similar results from simple cheap bread yeasts mixed with lime flour to spread it , When companies sell you a bag of yeast there is only a small % of actual yeast in them most of it is lime dust .

Yes- with live yeasts on the market for livestock feeding, feed rates are all less than 5g per head per day, but obviously this is difficult to administer without a carrier- so when feeding 50g per head, at least 45g of it will be carrier, or minerals/vits, depending on what it's mixed with.

And you're right again, they all do the same job in terms of scavenging oxygen- but the different strains do react in different ways- some work quicker than others, scavenging oxygen quicker.

to be fair im glad its added to many compounds these days , saves the faffing about with bagged stuff ,it does have an effect with more stable rumen, wish they were also adding some of the oregano based products as well, used as an organic anti-microbial (cocci etc) another as yet untapped avenue that would be cheap and easy to take advantage of

Might as well just add bicarb to the water tanks

Feed rep at local show on Saturday said there wont be any dried sbp
due to the cost of gas for drying, also said one heck of a lot (think he said one unit is set to take around 70,000 tons ) of the moist pulp will be going to digesters.
That’s what my man said, bought fert off the back of it aswell.
