Rolled barley, pot ale, chopped straw, rapeseed meal, bread/cake byproducts etc. Cattle get fit just looking at it and you'll have the fattest rats in the parish. I only feed it to suckled bulls as they convert it well. The thought of feeding it to big strong hungry steers is terrifying

It's difficult to explain but ask anyone who's fed it and they'll say the same. It definitely isn't cheap but it really does fatten cattle like nothing else. I'll try and dig out a product label that might have more detail.

They were sending a man an artic load a week across to Ireland so he must have rated it. And they have a unimog/trailer that delivers all over the country.

Really you can’t beat starch for cattle I’ve fed all sorts of rations but the starchy ones do them the best.

I’m back feeding a fair bit of maize grain in the ration it really is rocket fuel.

We killed more bulls and finishing hoggets than I care to remember with Rigbys sugarmeal. Hellish potent gear but get it just wrong and you’d guarantee a blown up bull or lambs the next morning

Used it for years in the past never lost a bull with it . But we caught other products to go with it and always had feed in front of them they were black and white dairy breed cattle.

We will have had 3/4 a year. Some we got down, others we weren’t fast enough I was glad when barley came cheaper again. Can’t remember what we were mixing it with now to feed.

What sort of weight gains are you getting from it and what price a ton is it seen as though it’s a price tracker thread ?

Must be the sugar and starch in the bread/cake that does it, as the rest is not that exciting?

just lost our bakery by product's job we have been getting the best dlwg's ever! aparently it'sn going to a digester don't know what to replace it with

I found that feed that contained confectionary varied too much, smell altered and cow pats changed as if rancid oils were used at times. Some years it was rocket fuel you couldnt beat and others it just upset them .

I used some of that sweet biscuit meal and confectionery stuff they were the best cattle we ever sold
