There are two local firms, one is called manor mix, forget the other now. Where are you based? It's only a few £ difference between the different mixes

That's sad, wondered why he was quiet. Do we know what happened?
I have no idea mate, used to like his posts in TAW and he was always helpful if others had questions. There are so many disappeared that were prolific posters and then nothing :(. Be nice to know why.

IIRC @eulb had connections to @RWG Contracts so might know where he is/what's happened to him. Of course he could have any number of reasons why he no longer visits the forum that he wouldn't want to share with us, or maybe he's just busy/got better things to do.

Final prices ranged from:

£98/cube for RC35 + £20 haulage (drum)
£107.5 for RC40 + £45 haulage (volumetric)

to:

£147.74 for RC40 (drum)
£205 for RC40 (volumetric)

Decided on the cheaper volumetric as if I don't use the full 2 cube, it works out cheaper, whereas drum mix I'll lose some of the 2 cube stuck to the drum, and if I don't need the full 2 cube I can save a bit rather than waste it, or if I need more, I don't get caught short/overcharged with a min. 1 cube additional order.

Fingers crossed...!

Also found out today you can now get electric powered concrete pokers, not just the petrol ones. Looks a good job! Posh ones (double hire price!) even have a motor in the tip, not a flexible drive shaft. Every day's a school day.
