Well bugger it. Sat here 3 hours and not bid once. If anything they’re getting a touch dearer. No point wasting the rest of my day and risking getting stuck with a pen of dear lambs. Ewes look a better trade than the fat tbh, so I’m off south again.

@Anymulewilldo I think I've asked before but why Scotland for store lambs? I just looked on Google maps and Dingwall is 8 hours from me so must be 7 from you. Why go so far when you could have welsh lambs from West Wales at less than half the distance away half the transport costs would save a fair bit before you even start wouldn't it

Store lambs a good trade in Dingwall so far . Not the biggest of cheviots to be £70 and if they’ve a touch of meat straight to mid 80’s

How do you measure "not the biggest"?

I got £66 for a pen of 45 Cheviots that averaged 27.5kg over the scales yesterday.

Not necessarily. Snowdonia is south of anymule but sheep from there would thrive just as well as scotch lambs.
Definetly move them downhill though.

I'm sure there are execptions. That's usually the best way to do it, it has to happen at some point anyway. Be a well moving small lambs.
