We've missed it all again today. Black all round today and yesterday, oceans of thunder too. Got 2mm yesterday, folks 3 miles away got 12mm. Today not enough to make the spots on the concrete join up 🙄

@livestock 1 i was just searching about copper deficiency and I see you have issues with this, what do you give the cattle to compensate?? We’ve just had a sample of six cows tested because I thought they were lacking something and all six have come back low in copper, other bloods haven’t come back yet!
This particular herd of cows live on some sandy bank ground that’s very light and poor, last year the calves didn’t seem to do very well up there, lack of growth and such like, the cows were late to shed their coats in the spring where as other herds had shed theirs and were gaining weight well! They’ve all picked up now and you wouldn’t think anything of it if you saw them now, I did fluke them about six weeks ago though as this ground is a bit fluke where they are! Any of this sound familiar with copper deficiency? Any advice? Anyone else jump in
Used to use injections years ago then boluses for 20 odd years but I think they use the copper that you can put in drinkers but not metal drinkers ot rots them out! And only any good if there using drinkers and not a natural source obviously!

I’ve got some copper and selenium injection off the vet recently but it’s just for owt suspected that’s short I don’t give it for long term supply
