What did you think of the trade today ?
I was only there for the lowland section at the end. Shearlings weren’t out of the way. Real strong sorts 150-160, Suffolk cheviots 195. The first two pens of the ones I bought were 155 & 152. Main difference to my pen at 128 would be that I’ve a couple showing a bit to strong to the Cheviot in mine. Bottom draw shearlings 100-110 Good older ewes were good money, poorer sorts £5 above cull value.
Ewe lambs were just something else. Few bigger lambs (small tuppers/stronger runners high £130’s, then next draw down 130-134. Badly bred smaller sorts 90-115, they looked hellish dear
