Was contemplating getting a little trailer load of beet as there some available not too far away but was unsure how the young ewes would get onto it as never had it for a few years.
I just scattered a couple of loader buckets of them in each lambing field and drove forward so that some could get smashed up, and hopefully get them eating . Seemed to work !

Contractor mate told me the other day that the wet areas in cropping fields are seriously wet, but folk are looking at the date and needing grain in the ground so firing on and just leaving areas all over the place.
Old boy told me yesterday, the tilth is more important than the time. No point in hashing it in to poor seedbed especially with spring barley.
