Hi,
I don't think this is the right section so if anyone has a better idea please feel free to move it.
I'm interested in recycling all the roof and yard runoff water from my dairy which currently all goes down 2 ditches, either side of the same field, my thoughts where to extend the ditches sideways into the field to the point my hedge trimmer will still just about cut the ditch side and then plant reeds in the bottoms, at the bottom of the field, approx 200m away dig a pond/lake to store water and plant the outsides with reeds and other wetland plants.
I was thinking of asking a specialist about grades and levels etc but it can't be hard surely, the stuff grows wild down the road. Anybody have any useful input / experiences?
Thanks
