The tube in this sorry looking wheel has let go.. I know from previous experience the rim is not strong enough to take a tyre lever so can’t repair the tube... bank holiday bodge ideas please...

Try filling with the puncher sealant

Wack a load of tyre weld in it, unless the valve has ripped off

Fit a skid on meantime. Drill through frame and bolt on a skid, either steel or timber. The old bale sleds never had wheels!

That's what I did that about 8 years ago when I last tried to take the tyre off and discovered the rim has the strength of playdough.... The valve hole has rusted away and the tube has turned and disappeared inside the wheel where I cant get at it... The new wheel on the Richie site isn't much use as the hub is different.

that's not a bad suggestion, only a 1/4 mile of tarmac to the field....

It has been perfect for 8 years I though I had put enough tyre seal in the tube to make it solid for life!

that was my last bodge, this time the valve has disappeared into the wheel...

As said above put skids on wheels are only really needed for road transport

Have cut 2 hubs off a scap car in the past and converted a cooks to 14inch car wheels, wasn’t a big job and worked well

That was actually my very first thought I was hoping someone would second it. Think I will get another 7 years use out of it or will the foam quickly disintegrate to dust?
