Has anyone got any experience of a cooks flat 10 8+2 or even better a video of one in action?

Loads of a “proper” flat 10 with 4ft bales. But I think you are talking about a flat 8 with 2 cross ways?

the poor mans way is to extend the grab, pick 8 then 2 of the next pack . then pick the remaining 6+4 . etc

We just cut ours down the middle and added another chamber front and rear in to make it a flat 10. In really thick straw with a Welger you ideally need a moving floor sledge as can be troublesome but most of the time it was fine.
