Are village is on tonight about green belt and planning apparently , hope none of our sh-ite crops are shown!
They were certainly standing on a field which looked as if Stevie Wonder may have sown something with some of the drill blocked off.

Had to smile at the guy measuring the hedge. May have been 2m x 3m today but not once a hedge cutter arrives. He said it was important to know what was growing in the hedge so that it could be properly managed in the future without recognising that some farmers had probably done quite a good job for the past 200 years.

Dare I say it was one of their better efforts, tonight?

Gorgeous livestock, good food and dthrink, and important facts about the value of hedgerows.

Very interesting about the landed estate. Is it all managed in hand, or is it a collaboration of tenants and owner?

The estate is (I think) all in hand. They have developed various things there and actually have a facebook page. The Massingberd family basically died out as they had no Heirs. John Thorne Made his money somewhere else in Lincolnshire and is developing the estate.

A farmer's son whose family farmed in a village. He's rare himself, isn't he?

The most interesting or novel bit was the use of Lincoln-Longwool wool to simulate fur - in Holland I think??

Why didn't they dwell on it a bit more - even at the expense of Adam and his usual ''up his own arse'' bits.
