Just remember if it is an extension to the agreement, watch out for any penalties going right back to the start !!

New agreements can only go back to their start.

I was given a 5 year extension, but the agreement that the RPA had on file was a different agreement than what Natural England had made me sign and I had been working on for 5 years. You couldn't make it up !

when my last agreement was ending i was offered a years extension.....sounds like it's just offering to repeat the scheme :scratchhead:

That is what I was offered.

I declined as the protocol they followed was that if there was a breach, the penalty and the repayment could/would go back to the start of the Agreement, potentially 11-15 years...

I have already had a very costly experience with a less than truthful Inspector... I am out!

Whoops... And the Inspector will not always have the original agreement to hand when he makes a visit...

So is a "mirror agreement" a new agreement for the purposes of inspection and penalties??
