cracked panels

been offered some unused solar pv panels with cracked glass which are able to generate, could they be repaired with a new glass

do a search on the www, there are a couple of methods that have been used. one uses a clear two part resin that you pour on and spread it out, the other uses a sheet of clear vinyl that you apply to the broken glass going right over the edge of the aluminum frame, not sure how long they will last. also panels are not expensive to buy new, I have seen 280w for £67 plus vat

No brainer at that price. Just get new ones.
Fair chance a repair would fail after a few years on a roof

sheets of vinyl on ebay works out about £12 each

Vynil will rapidly discolour. I have one panel crackedon a display and cannot detect any reduction in output
