Ok, while drinking a few night ago and researching faba bean fertiliser etc...I had a crazy idea...which I reckon was born from the peola concept.
Why not plant field peas (standing variety) with faba beans? I'm not moisture limited and the peas over here grown on f**kall...there is alot of space left over when growing beans, they are easily separated in the grain cleaner...it would help reduce weed pressure...
I was thinking of doing like 10sqm for a laugh..
Am I wasting my time? Does anyone see any issues? I don't get any chocolate spot but if I did would the chemical hurt the peas? Ripening should be the same...I normally desiccate anyway....
Any ideas welcome...ill founded and non factual based are most welcome!!
