Creep feeding lambs-whole wheat?

I'm creep feeding my lambs at the moment (bought in pellets), last year I supplemented this with some bought in barley which I fed whole. I haven't got any barley of my own but I have plenty of whole wheat, this could well be a stupid question but could I feed whole wheat instead of barley in the mix? I fed the barley at about 20% to the pellets last year. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i have slipped in whole wheat at times (rarely tho) mixed with oats - even a small amount can/will cause grey brown scouring.
Imho i wouldnt do it, if you lose one blown up you will regret it.
