Creosote fence posts

I'd be asking GP smart for a price (link posted above) but their going to be machined round šŸ¤® from scampole.

I'd also ask calders and grandridge for a price. More chance of getting peeled cundy posts. I'd imagine they'll be dearer on first quote but your talking a couple of arctic loads so get them to push harder on the prices. If you get a big first order who ever you buy from will likely send a lorry direct to you so wouldn't be worried where you order from asling as you can pay for a load.

If you plan to on getting a couple of packs at a time then you won't save any money on bulk buying.
But if you ask C&G for a price make sure it's for pine. To compete with scumpole they've started treating spruce with Creo to reduce cost.

Anyone had any posts, strainers and turners from mole valley recently and could give me an up to date price or a supplier in the north east or Scottish borders that would supply Creo fencing timber, need around 14000 meters worth in the next couple of years
mc veigh parker is the onlyplace i trust to get them

Do MVF source from somewhere other than Scanpole then?

@Jerry said earlier in the post he didn't rate them either.

Think they source from a number of suppliers such as Shield.

They are pushing scanpole copper stuff now, but itā€™s expensive. So Iā€™ve a load of clipex dye next week with McViegh Parker Creo to use as strainers and turners.

Have you used google earth app, used the measuring tool to really price your work?

Off topic a bit, but is Ā£22/m installed a fair price for 1400 metres of fencing, creosote posts at 5 metre centres, box strainer at 100 metres, 1.9 metre mesh with the bottom 300mm or so dug in as fox prevention and two lines of electric along the top?

Have to admit it was more than I was expecting!

I always used to buy from calders but havenā€™t since theyā€™ve been using spruce. The best I get at the moment is Norwood from Stow Ag and they do a peeled 4-5ā€

I'd be looking for another quote as something tells me you aren't getting quality at that price šŸ™ˆ

Iā€™ve paid Ā£7 per m, but I have to buy all the materials.
