CS CAPITAL GRANT I NEED HELP PLEASE WITH A CLAIM !

Hello All.
We're about to put our first claim and I'm a bit confused . Is there anyone on here who has submitted a Capital Grant claim rather than a revenue claim ?

Ah no I understand that bit !
Its the payment rate thingy I don't get. For example, say you claimed for 200 mtrs of Fencing which is £6.34 a mtr . Would you need to submit invoices from the fencing supplier & contractor which was exactly that amount ?
And how many photos are required ?

Check the requirements for that option in your agreement. Or look it up on the manual, online for the relevant year. Don't quote me on it but I don't think invoices need to be sent in for fencing, you just need to keep them in case of an inspection. Re photos, i just took one in each field of the fence that had been done. Waiting to hear back!

Thanks so much but was this for your annual agreement ( ie a revenue claim ) or a Capital Grant ?

It's a capital claim in a mid tier agreement. Is yours a standalone capital grant? (The revenue claim is the annual claim for ongoing field options rather than capital works like fencing, water, tracks etc)

You just put which field youve done and how many meters, it doesn't have to be all of it in one go. Tick the box to say if it's the last claim or not, then send it in.

You then have to send your pictures to an email address, with your claim number (which will be generated online when you start filling it out) as the subject. Each photo needs the parcel number that it relates to on it and the code for the fence grant, e.g. fg12 - 8880 3456 photo 1.

You'll likely have to zip the file with the photos in it to send across to them, it'll be weighty.

Any problems and they'll just ask you to amend it, I've found them to be very helpful when I submitted mine. It took a couple of tries to get it right.

Only problem I have had is how long they took to pay, but that's discussed in another thread.

Yes - standalone mid tier , but we cocked up our annual agreement as put some capital works in . RPA were very helpful and removed them then issued a new agreement . However it took a long time and they told me I'd be unable to make a Capital Grant application till the annual agreement was sorted.

No, no invoices. You could do the work yourself and still claim if it meets the specs. Should be 6-8 weeks, but with Christmas I think they forgot and it was around 12. They soon sorted it after I chased it though

I sent in a copy of an invoice with mine but it was very generic, I bought extra stakes/wire for other jobs all on same invoice, don't worry too much, as long as the date is after your agreement started, you'll be fine, I sent pics of completed fence, one from each direction with field numbers so they can link them up, and a scan of the final page of the agreement where you have to sign it, the declaration thing. The first side of fencing I claimed for 12 months ago was paid in 3 weeks, the hedging was claimed for in January and paid in 2 weeks, claim has now been in for 2 weeks for the other side of fence, hopefully I will get paid next week.

Chatting to my agent last week who said to send photos before , during & after the work , invoices & a copy of your bank statement or screenshot of payment just to cover all eventualities , saves any delay in processing the claim .

Call the RPA.

It's not a problem if you've done more than you are claiming for.

I included a field map with the places where I had stood to take the supporting photos from.

Each photo has to have a claim ref, the field number, the length of hedge (for example) and the type of claim (gapping up). Include on a word document or a zip file, do not include on the email itself, attachment only

I did a bit of gapping in a 30 acre field, 270m or so in 9 different peices.

Inspected last week (they do 5%) commented that the pictures were great and very well explained, they then wanted to see invoices and bank satement to say the we had paid.

This inspection took place a year after the claim was paid.
