Few questions, which may have been covered elsewhere, so apologies I'd so. A quick search didn't yield anything.

What's the timescale involved from applying to approval? Will I get anything approved in time for this season's hedging work? Ie: in time to get some done before March 31st.

Can you make partial claims along the way (say a couple hedges each year) or do you have to finish everything in that claim before putting in a claim?

I presume its not too arduous to handle the application/ claim process myself, not involving an agent at all? (Hence the questions on here!)
I do my own bps application, I'm reasonably competent with such things, just green on the whole CS stuff.

Agent did one yesterday simple hedge/ fence job,6 hrs application/ offer / signed.
I understand you could have different agreement for each field if so wished.
Have emailed before; took 3 months for reply.

Do all mine myself here. Simple enough to do.
As for putting in claims. You can put in partial claims rather than the whole lot at once. I am doing this with fencing and works quite well. Just be prepared for them to take 2 months to pay.

I found it a little confusing to begin with, but have the hang of it now. Basically there's two types of CS. A. A three year agreement where you select which items you wish to receive funding for. Submit a revenue claim by May each year & you are paid by December.
B. Capital Grants which you can apply for at anytime of the year. You send photos of the work you've completed + invoices and are paid within two months. If its anything water related you need to get approval from a Case Sensitive farming officer before you apply for the Capital Grant.
The confusion IMO is because some items are on the annual agreement though also available as a Capital Grant.
