CSS Payment dates

Does anyone know on what dates payments are made with a CSS Wildlife Package? In other words, how soon after the start of the agreement would we get paid and is it 6-monthly or annually?

I'm assuming it's 12 months after the start of the agreement and that it's an annual payment, would this be correct? I can't find anything online

What ever the payment window is supposed to be, from my experiance of being in these schemes the payment rarely turns up on time.

It is sometimes a year late.

Payments for my Higher Tier were usually at least a year in arrears and less than we'd claimed. Paid December onwards around BPS time. They seem to have stopped the June bridging payments. If you started an agreement 1st Jan 2021 I wouldn't budget on seeing any cash until December 2022 at the earliest.

Edited to add; My CS started in 2018 when Natural England were still running the scheme with the RPA making payments. Now it's all RPA & we had the nearly full amount in our account 3rd December last year.

Payment dates are one of the great mysteries of life, I find. As is reconciling the payment with what you might think is due. Not always the case but in my experience often is. Then as for getting any errors corrected. Well patience of Job required, sufferance and good humour Ah well.

The payment window opens on 1 December of the first year

my stewardship started on 1 jan 2018
got paid 75% first year in 2019 after Gove gave the go ahead for an interim loan when he was looking for votes for his leadership campaign
so 18 months after the start the balance came 3 months later

the second year was paid in 2020 in 2 payments
the third year was paid on December 1 2020 in full

what happens in future is anyone’s guess but the window opens on 1st December 2021

I would think that new schemes will be paid from December 1st of the first year
but you can never be certain so from Cash flow point of view have other available funds ti fill the gap just as you do now from bps payment dates
