CTS error 12 years ago

Just logged on to CTS this evening to do some birth registrations and movements.
Had the red traffic light on the home page for an error to correct. Turned out to be a Holstein bull calf born September 2006 and moved at nearly 4 weeks old to Staffordshire Calves and then exported to Holland.
Their ON date was a day before my OFF date so probably my mistake. Bit surprised they are querying something that happened 12 years ago to an animal that was probably killed before it was a year old.

Why has it taken them 12 years to notice????

They seem to be operating pretty slick at the moment - passports coming through very fast. Perhaps they have a great big digital 'dump bucket' of long ago discrepancies and when they have a few spare minutes someone picks one out and gets it cleaned up. Database cleaning before the big EID project? Seems very daft for a dead animal though...

Glad you flagged it up - we do all passports and movements via Interherd or Holstein UK link and rarely go directly onto CTS now (just for deaths :() but it made me go and check my traffic lights (all OK fortunately).

Aren’t export paperwork moves done by DEFRA Carlisle?
We had a bull export similarly flagged. Off our holding and no On movement to pair. I phoned and said ‘ask Defra’ My movement was correct.
They accepted that.

I think you are saying the collection centre got their dates wrong? If you are sure yours are correct, then stick to that and maybe ask them to check Defra’s Export dates to confirm. If you have made a mistake - grovel.

Crackers under the circumstances, but rules is rules.
