Cubicle shed costs

There are dozens of threads about cubicles on here, and I've been working my way through them, the costs mentioned are around £1k per cow. Today I was told I'd be looking at £2k per cow. Now I do want to do a good job, with plenty of space, but I don't want automatic curtains or light ridges or any of that. So what is a reasonable amount to get a good job?

You will wonder how you ever coped without them. You going with rope scrapers? Just make sure there is a slurry grid each end of the run, don't ever run one way scrapers just trust me on that...
Had rope scrapers, excellent, but we extended the shed and went to sand, so the channel was in the wrong place and wrong type. New shed has a sand channel and existing shed will this summer, but won’t be at both ends as it won’t work here.

Presume your sand Chanel is at the end xways. How long is your scraped passage.

Lot of variables when costing out a shed.

Site .. does it need much groundwork?
Size ... will determine steelwork especially if clear span
Painted or galvanised
Slatted?
Roof lights or solid
200 lux lighting?
Water troughs ... number and spec
Cubicles .. sand or mats. Budget up to £200/cow place

Etc etc but there are standard costings based on squared metre/sq. ft

How long are you hoping the rope to last ?. We put rope in & sand,& the rope doesnt last long enough, but I was warned. TBH its not a big job to renew the rope.
To be honest the Harrymatic rope gave little bother, even though the scrapers wore away. Apparently new rope is stronger and thinner, whether this is a good thing I don’t know.
