was hoping to make something to brush 300 cubicles 0nce a day. Passages are narrow. No room for merlo. Was going to rig a small hyd pump on lawn mower and mount a brush. Like the pic above. Would it work how would i control lifting it up and down?
Saw this pic on here years ago.

Would a small skid steer not be better to attach a brush to? Would solve the lifting up and down issue.
A simple hand scraper never lets me down here.

Looks like that one is controlled by the chain with night, but they a brush is just as quick, plus helps to burn off the Christmas fat in January

Possibly attach a chain and hook system to the mower, when at the end if cubicles pull it up and hook it up until you turn around and do a run on the other side. Will you be mounting an independent hyd pump or somehow powering it off the engine?

But yes think cutter deck could work. Take off the rotor with a pulley to a pump, all very doable and if you have a spare ride on mower why not

always thought mechanical brushes are a bit too wasteful
my romanian yardworker will notice leaked milk ,blood, whites , or excessive amounts of dung/urine on beds and report it to me , not so sure he would be so attentive if he was trying to break the land speed record on a cubicle brush

+1,walking along cleaning beds off with hand scraper gives me the perfect chance to spot anything thats wrong, slowly trying to teach the apprentice the importance of this job,i won't be beaten (y)

Although I agree with you I think it depends on the setting.

Where I used to work we used to walk the beds 5 times a day between milkings to spot those things. When it was milking time yes you saw them on the bed but you didn't have a clue who's it was as the cows were away to be milked.

i would suggest a brush and dispenser is most comparable to an automatic feeder. The total time spent may be the same it just allows you to do it at other points

Not wanting to pi55 on anyones chips, but how long would a ride on mower last going up and down the cubicles sweeping the beds ? Thete not built out of the best of stuff to be in contact with cow muck day in day out, in pfi there was a sweeper made to fit a small narrow dumper, ok more expensive to buy the dumper, but surely if you are going to the cost and trouble of making something, be better to start with a base that would last longer as it was built heavier for more demanding conditions than a ride on mower ?

I'd love to stick a hydraulic brush on side of my ag dispenser. It's strange know one makes such a machine. Plenty of ride on machines that do it but not ones that attach to telehandlers

g3hst is an industrial mower and is basically built like a small tractor with cast axles and a3cylinder diesel we made a silage pusher out of one five years ago and its much better than the two wheel type of pusher ,always amuses people when they visit! .also made a rotary brush for our skidsteer for sweeping cubicles off it does a much cleaner job than any broom or scraper, used an old hydraulic motor some 80mm box and a set of skiddy brackets. you can buy the brushes from munitech for 29 quid .took a day to make .simples
