Custom toolkits

Need a few toolkits for square balers. 3-4 spanners, parallel punch, circlip pliers, socket and ratchet etc.

Is there anywhere I can but this cheaply?

Eg a 1/2” spanner is £6 but I can buy a full set for £40.

I’m not after cheap. I usually get Teng, Facom, Halfords pro etc. But buying spanners separately seems to be really expensive compared to buying them in a set.

Try giving Mandy’s Tools a ring , we buy our tools for our tractor toolboxes from there . Quality is quite good and price is right so you won’t be upset if you lose or break something.we keep our more expensive tools in our trucks or workshop and a ‘get you out of the sh!t kit in the tractors “.

Or places like rs do discount on multiple items I.e 10 13mm spanners is £9 each instead of £10

I have no problem spending money. But I don’t want to spend £150 on a Halfords Pro 200 piece toolkit when only 5 bits of them will ever get used. By the end of the season at least one thing will have been lost or baled up.
I don’t want cheap rubbish tools either, they just end up rounding nuts or skinning knuckles.

Basically I want 5 of:
1/2” spanner
9/16” spanner
3/4” spanner
3/4” socket and ratchet
Circlip pliers
4mm punch
Hammer
Knife
Toolbox

Decent tools. I normally go for Teng spanners, Facom punches etc.

We carry leaf blowers, massive fire extinguishers and over £3k of spares on each baler so price is really not an issue - I just don’t want to pay £8 for a 1/2” spanner when £30 will get me a set with 8 in it (£3 / spanner), when I will never use 6 of them!

What makes up your 3k worth of spares on each baler?

I just carry shear bolts, chain joining links and a stripper arm.

You must have an old baler if you are still using AF sizes. I am old fashioned but I like metric spanners.

Go to Halfords and get what you want from their good range. I've got several spanners from them and they are good and nice to use.
