Cutting after forefront spray

Silage field was sprayed this past with with forefront, been assured it’s safe to cut it won’t forefront as the much from the resulting silage will only ever be used back on grassland. But what I was wondering how long after spraying is it safe to cut it ?

Long enough for the Chemical to have moved through the whole plant and its roots system to kill it good and proper.
Because its expensive want it to have full effect in plants like Docks etc.
How long since it was Sprayed ?

It was only done this week and gives rain for least a week so it won’t be that fast. Just trying get a idea when I should start hoping for dry days to cut it and pre book the baler man

The chems from the same family are 14 days IIRC and as been said it's a very good chem but expensive so give it time, not wanting to be a kill joy but I would not be saying you are going to cut it as it's against the rules to use on cutting ground( I'm sure lots is)

Forefront isnt supposed to be cut the same calender year due to residuals in the dung.

I used to leave for a month or more before topping .leave at least 3 weeks if you can . The cost of doing it deservers its best chance to work.

That's ok. as long as you keep it on farm and with respect to the ultimate use of the muck from the stock its fed too.

Weather mostly. My father didn’t want to worry about burning when was so hot and dry for so long. Very back with docks so was either spray late or have bales off docks

I've only bought it once since it came back to the market, but I had to sign to confirm that I wasn't going to cut it the same year, and that any forage/muck from the following year wouldn't leave the farm.
Have they softened those requirements since?

All he used here. Only have few heifers and some sheep to eat the bales so the muck be slurry and put back on own fields

If the docks are that strong youve wasted your money
Docks are besf sprayed 2.5 weeks after cutting

I hadn’t much say in the matter unfortunately. They should off been sprayed about 5 years ago never mind now

He has unfortunately as it plainly states for use only on grazing ground. I'm sure now he knows this he will graze the grass instead, not his fault if misinformed so will now do the right thing, Probably too late to kill the weeds also,

Ok you probably chemically topped the field and they will shrink down
Leave min 2 weeks preferably more if possible
But most of the docks will probably return

The law has not been broken. The grass has not been conserved.

how do you know what stage the weeds were at have you walKed the field ?
