CX105 extra shift brake failure !

Brakes on my cx105 work fine most of the time but every now and then the pedal just goes straight to the floor and no amount of pumping gets them back and so have to grab the handbrake quick ! Hasn't done it for a few months but did it tonight as I was backing full tub mixer down a steep ramp and only just managed to stop it with the handbrake before hitting the cow shed . Following this the brakes gradually get better but usually not back to normal until next time I use it . Any ideas what might cause such an intermittent fault .

How old is it? There was a modification done on early ones as they had a problem with loosing brakes on steep ground

I think so but it self fills

We had a 2003 model and it had brake problems as you describe, took McCormick a while to sort a fix but it was done under warranty eventually, maybe yours was never done? Speak to a McCormick dealer they should be aware of what the issue was back then
