The sheds won’t matter @jendan. Agree not sure why guide it like that can only think to bring in outside interest. Be three large farms who missed out on the 10K unit, one in the background included.

A large cattle dealer and dairy farmer used to bring wagon loads of cattle to Hexham every friday.Norman F.Sadly died last year.Are they in that area?Think one of his sons or nephews still bringing cattle across.

Good,well equipped dairy farms are crazy money in Cumbria..........well they used to be.Might be different now if there is only Meadow foods picking up.

I noticed Bishopton farm was not far away on the map.He is a miss at Hexham,a real character.

That what im thinking,unless you are in the Eden valley.Its hard to know though,unless you actually live there.I was thinking the same looking at the dairy farm at Berrier,Penrith.Its sitting at nearly 1000 foot,with a steep pull up to the farm buildings.A nightmare for the tanker driver with even the slightest hint of frost/ice.

Looks a nice farm for semi retirement.100 cows giving 25 litres/day. Fill the tank up EOD collection. Not much more than 1 hour milking either end of the day.Warm southerlies...............im getting carried away........

I'd say piping slurry is about the best of it. Works out at over £100/hr. Dont worry about small fields, they charge £40/hr for moving pipe

Yes umbilicle, our chap uses 600m of 6inch then spreads on 5inch if more pipe needed.
The amount they can shift with that is colossal.

We plod away with 4 inch pipe, that was our first time doing it after first cut went pretty well!
