Damaged fert bag still ok to use?

I didn’t have room in the shed to stack our fert as wagon turned up early, so just unloaded it into the yard, didn’t realise I’d stacked one of the bags on a sharp rock (no our yard isn’t concrete🤦🏻‍♂️) so when I lifted it up to move it into the shed it started leaking out the bottom…brother got a big builders bag and put the fert bag in it as I held my hand under it to stop it leaking…got it all strapped up and round so it’s as airtight as I can get it… just want to know if that fert is still good to use? Won’t be getting out in for at least a week and it’s no longer in its airtight/waterproof bag……

when I used to use fertliser I used to put them on old tyres in the yard to keep them off the ground, and if the fertliser has gone a little hard, you can drop the bag to break it up, the trick is knowing how high to drop it from to break the lumps without breaking the bag!

No don’t drop them, it is likely to split and spill everywhere. Better to put the bag on the ground with your bag lifter through the eye and roll the bag onto its side, and then pick it up and roll it the other way. It’s far better than dumping or dropping them..
