Where is the fill point on a 1976 DB 990? And is the sight glass on the left hand side the level?

The sight glass is indeed the level, but beware, it can easily be mistaken for lacking oil when in fact it is overfull. It should show white if it is low.
The fill point should be just above the top hitch pin . You should use universal SUTO oil.
