Looking for a db1390 to do basic jobs such as hedge cutting and rowing up on a single rotor rake. What sort of money would I be looking at / headaches should be avoided.
Cheers

Well we managed to find a 1394 in restored condition with rebuilt engine for sensible money.

Imo that’s a better machine than a 1390. The 1394 had the edge on the 1390. Easier to use controls and a few good changes that they made for the 94 Series. It’s a nice tidy looking one. I got one recently too, it’s generally good but needs a few wee bits tidying

The worst thing about those tractors were the air intake was right beside the exhaust pipe and working one hard on a hot day could be extremely challenging! Even worse were the one where DB ib there wisdom fitted radiator fans which pulled rather than pushed the air so bring even more hot air in.

we used to like them for hedge trimming because the cab was a nice height and good to see out the window plus plenty of gear choices at lower speeds.
1390, 1490 1690 and ended up using a 1594 with hydra shift.
