Dealer having a laugh

So, i went to the MF dealers depot, our old salesman has given up on selling tractors and is now selling implements only, so a new salesman sits behind the desk. I offered our 2018 Case Maxxum 135 Cvx with 3200 hours for trade-in for a MF 6718 Dyna-Vt Exclusive. Cost to change came to 75k€ inc. Vat. Essentially the same spec, same loader, all the bells and whistles excluding front liftarms and pto (and MF isn't autosteer ready whereas our Case is). Then i started going back down the memory lane, in 2018 we got an offer trading our MF 5610 for 6718 Dyna-Vt Exclusive for only 4k€ more (so 79k€ incl. Vat). 6718 was exactly the same spec as the one we specced back in 2018.

Needless to say, we're not too keen to swap. Mf seems atleast 20k€ overpriced. o_O

Am I missing something. Isn’t the mf 50 hp bigger than the case which would make it more
145hp base vs 180hp base. We aren't pricing it against Case, we're offering our Case against a new Mf 6718 in trade. The thing is that dealer values our Maxxum only 4k€ more valuable than the old dealer did our MF 5610 back in 2018. They're in completely different league so in my opinion the Case should be worth way more in trade-in. Especially since the 6718 is exactly the same spec as it was back in 2018 when we priced them last time (and it lost to Case then).

But in the end we're not under any pressure to swap tractors, dealer was just boasting that he'd make us an great offer on new 6718, turned out not to be that great.

95k€ incl. Vat. Dealer over values trade-in, so it looks good for the farmer.
A neighbour was bragging about trading in a well used tractor for the same price as he'd payed for it, used, five years earlier. The dealer moved it on to another dealer who then spent money refurbing brakes and advertised it for six Grand less than the original trade-in value. I'm certain neither dealer was losing money on the deal😉

Its the dealers tractor... he can charge what he likes.
Yes, i know that. Was just wondering how much the MF has appreciated/Case has depreciated in the last 2,5 years. But with MF sales going down, can they afford to charge what they like. Selling global series to retired old men won't float them in long term.

As i said we're not in any real need of a new tractor, we were just checking out the "great deal" that the dealer was touting about. Not so great after all. Maybe (surely) great for him though had we taken it.

So I'll be careful not to get potkued when I'm working the cattle. They understand English already so should be ok with Finnish.
Perkele (with an overstated R) is very effective. No matter where you are, the people and animals will know that you're (really) upset.

As for the finnish language and ways to bend a word...
