But expensive
The Aldi ones are good tooLidl do a set in a metal box that show up on the special buys occasionally, for the price I find them unbeatable. I have a set I use most days and they perform as good on stainless steel that I usually work with as the Dormer,Presto, Ruko, Garant bits I use as well.
Their hss hole saws are pretty good too.
And how to use them, and how to use cutting oil.Just save your money and learn how to sharpen them [emoji53]
Hard metals. Google for More info. What exactly will a cobalt drill make a hole through then, and will it do it repeatedly? Never bought any.
For that job, get yourself some left hand drill bits! The broken studs will fly outThe only thing extreme about the dewalt bits is how poor they are. Normally use dormer jobber bits but had some sheared off studs to drill out. 10.9 high tensile studs so off down to screwfix for what I thought would do the job. Started with a couple of 5mm drills, drilling slow with oil to lubricate blunted both before drilling 20mm deep. Screwfix very good and refunded with no question. Finished the job with the dormers.
you learn a new thing every day, as long as im at it i never knew that. The best dormer bits had a crome band to identify them
No idea what made them better, I do know that they were the only bits with a chance of drilling fergy steel used for the linkage drawbar stabilisersyou learn a new thing every day, as long as im at it i never knew that.
i have a few of them here and i often wondered what it was about but never looked it up.
im sure its in me machinery's handbook but i was just too lazy to find out.
what would of made them better.
better ground, better steel, more definitive cut do you know.
or was it a case of all three.
+1, if they're seized then weld a nut on to the stud and pour cold water over it. I've yet to find a stud that wouldn't come out with this method. For that job, get yourself some left hand drill bits! The broken studs will fly out

what you took them back !!!!!!!!!The only thing extreme about the dewalt bits is how poor they are. The cold water shrinks the stud whilst the surrounding material is still hot from the welding. The different contraction speeds breaks the bond between the stud and the surrounding material.Cold water?
