I have been pricing tractors this week, straight deal no trade in.How can the equivalent Deere cost 40% more ?.More or less identical spec,Case is actually 30hp more when boosting but ive ignored that,i just cannot see where the extra £20k comes from,ok it will be worth a bit more to trade in,but only a fraction of the purchase price difference.

Been without one of those for more than 10 years now and never regretted the move. CNH have proved to be far more reliable and much cheaper to run. JD salesman seem to brainwash existing customers as to the prestige of their product which is total b##sh#t. The price of their tractors nowadays is beyond belief . Thank goodness I am out of the loop as I do not think I would still be in business. Deere to buy and dear to run!!!

That bucket of biscuits definitely worked on Sam then. Maybes if you had taken him for a breakfast you would have had the case for free:whistle:

A JD130M 'list' price is over £100,000 now !

Rising in price much quicker than any farm produce or contractor rates.

Romney Marsh was predominately green until the local dealer lost its franchise and JD rose its prices at such an alarming rate. Appears to be a few different breeds running around now.........a fact that JD have just started to notice by all accounts.

My neighbours are pricing to swap out a 160 Puma CVX for a new tractor just now.

I know it's a Puma 175 CVX he's priced and the similar NH, and they are not far apart, I don't know the bottom line but the equivalent MF is £21k more expensive to swap!!!! This is a new MF dealer that used to sell the Case ones.

John Deere man totally refused to quote if he was pricing against a Case!!!
Obviously he has a Case price, so he doesn't have nor can get a JD quote!!!

People can spend their money however they want in my view, but can a same size/spec tractor really be worth £21k more?? Will it do more work? Or be worth more at trade in time??
That £21k could be well used elsewhere.

Case are selling a lot at the minute into both JD and Fendt farms. The new Puma CVX is a good tractor but the standard puma powershift is woeful gearbox wise. We’ve tried both in the last 6 months.

Often wondered ,given that you can now spec ,configure get a trade in value and order a new Kia ONLINE direct from the manufacturer, how would it work in the AG sector??.
