The whole jobs just going to be bollox and binned when next lot get in , they'll get their mates in IT to repeat the process and be as equally sh!t as this lot ...How about the idea that the Govt are looking at how SFI and other such payments for not farming are taxed
I’m thinking that they’ll Cap the payment
Then tax it as un earned income
Maybe
It’s next doors ,been like that for 2 years on some schemeBale that , ideal for suckler cows
This looked like that
Don't forget drinking Guinness at the same time tooWell, sitting on your arse watching daytime TV and eating biscuits, whilst watching thistle down blow past the window, is hardly work, is it?
The commercial naivety of the entire scheme and lack of accountability for expense of public money and value for the taxpayer is beyond belief IMO.
The implementers will be out of office and into the Lords or knighted or promoted to some prominent role to look down over us before the "crop" is out the ground ....
Rishi or what's the other one called? Yay! Democratic accountability! The problem is the civil service
Everyone else is doing that while 'working from home' so why can't we?Well, sitting on your arse watching daytime TV and eating biscuits, whilst watching thistle down blow past the window, is hardly work, is it?
Surely, a life as a roaming shepherd would appeal more???See, enough folk like you and the budget will fit . My plan gives a claim of 120% of our BPS 2020 but that comes before not insignificant costs, takes a whopping 50% of the farm out of production (but the least profitable/loss making part and should increase profitability on the other part) All in all it means a budget that looks financially far worse than 2020 but for us looks the least worst option, perhaps only beatable by letting out the lot and retraining to be a full time plumber
I'll have a Shropshire Gold, and jobs a good 'un...Don't forget drinking Guinness at the same time too
Just searched it ! You'll have to wear sandals too if you drink that....I'll have a Shropshire Gold, and jobs a good 'un...
maybe but they are doing their best to keep the costs as low as possible. Nigel Huddleston mp went to my sons school a few weeks ago and when asked if the government were going to continue to support farmers to secure our domestic food supply as BPS helped to do he ridiculed the BPS and then said it was a complete waste of tax payers money. They cant have it all ways can they.I think it more to do with the potential public outcry of being paid to not produce food. Shame it's not worth growing at the current prices. What are we Wheat £167/t???
You can reduce the area of sfi actions at annual reviewYep and all those people who got in early will be trapped in a 3 year deal with much reduced payments than what they signed up for.
Yes, concurr. But the IACS 26 and 27 application process does contain quite specific rules on people associated with an SBI.If they do that we will be fully justified to go full French!
the plumbing would be enjoyable but dealing with (some ) of the people/customers would not be fun .Surely, a life as a roaming shepherd would appeal more???
It took from 1922 to 1938 for the government to change its farming support the last time they cut farming support completely during the great betrail most of the farmers in 1922 did not survive that longIt won't be long before food is short and DEFRA will be scrapping all these schemes !!
It's utter madness not being self sufficient in food.
Importing over 40% of the UKs food is bonkers.
Haven't the government learnt from the oil, gas and electric shambles of the last few years? It will only take a war or a failed world harvest to make us all hungry.
Its utter madness not being self sufficient in food, energy, steel, toilet roll etc...It's utter madness not being self sufficient in food.
Nope ...Haven't the government learnt from the oil, gas and electric shambles o
We can't grow avocados, guava, etc. Are you suggesting we be one self sufficient in calories? Its utter madness not being self sufficient in food, energy, steel, toilet roll etc...
