We are currently looking to recruit a Design Engineer, its essential to have a formal qualification in engineering.
The successful candidate will preferably have experience working in a ‘Yellow’ goods environment (Trucks or trailers) with knowledge of chassis design being a deciding factor in the selection process. Permanent role.
Job Specification:
- Design for manufacture (Mechanical/ Electrical)
- HSE compliance
- An understanding of chassis design within a yellow goods environment (Trucks or trailers)
- HND/ Degree
- Future requirements will be involvement with robotic welding systems
- Customer focused (Internal/ External)
- Competent in the use of 'Autodesk' inventor, able to transfer from solid works
- Good verbal communication skills and self-motivated
- To be able to build rapport with Teams, Leadership skills important
- Drive improvement, 'minimise' waste, 'maximise' productivity (Lean)
- Familiar with DFMEA methods for establishing and reducing risks
- Knowledge of new product development is an advantage
