Deutz cooling fan

Just a warning to anyone with a 6000 /6005 series deutz about the engine fan coming apart from the water pump.

Was baling this morning and thought I smelt something burning, had a good look round tractor and baler and couldn't find anything ... started off again and within a couple minutes there was a screeching sound coming from under the bonnet , shut everything off and had look and found that the fan had come away from the water pump and fell forward on to the radiator bursting it . ... so any deutz owners reading this it might be worth a look to see if there's any play in the fan and if you smell a suspicious rubbery burning smell it's a sign the fans about to let go.

Oh, so they’ve still not fixed the issue! It was a bearing issue, rebuild it back with branded bearings. Volvo, Fendt etc which use the engine have had the same issue

Certainly not in the 6000 series anyway, maybe it has been sorted in the 6005 ? ... I've never heard of one going before, but seems quite common ?
