Anyone here famliar with the Aux Service Valve sitting on the hydraulic top cover of a Fordson Dexta.

This is the sort with the speed control adjuster, not fittted to all models.

Trying to rebuild one, ..well doing the complete top cover as it is not olifting.

But I cannot get the push/pull selector valve to withdraw.

Only a little rotation, like abotu an 1/8th of a turn. The Bakerlite knob has long gone and all i have left is the mangled threaded head sticking out. Cant even run a die over it ..as ...yep , that is the one die in the tap and die set that is missing :(

Seems to be a collar of some sort that turns with the shaft of the valve too. Cant work out if that is supposed to pull out too or if it stays fixed.. I'll try posting pictures from the phone in a reply to this post.

I have a pdf of the original part smanual, but cant make out how to remove the collar..if I need to .

Any oen got any ideas?

Is there a roll pin in the hole just behind the part you have your finger on, you can see the hole and if it goes through i.e. you can see it on the bottom side I would suspect there's a roll pin, I striped my one years ago so it can be done.

Well, I am not sure. I have tried with a selection of thin punches, 2.5mm bolts, etc but can’t get any movement

Left it soaking tonight

Will try again in morning

Thanks for looking, but I think 10-12 are the blanking plate and roll pin circled below
I think part No 7 is the metal ‘cap’with possibly 13 being the vertical roll pin
