Dexta pocket rocket

Looking to put a bigger engine into a fordson dexta. Can't decide between a 6 cyclinder and a v8. Would love it to be as easy as possible which makes me want the 6 cyclinder but the idea of having a v8 in a dexta is unreal. What do I do? This is just for fun and road runs.

Put a 6 cylinder in it will look muck tidier wihout any bulges bulges in the bonnet. Dad put a 6 cylinder Nisaan patrol engine into one a couple of years ago its an absolute smasher and a lovely thing to drive ill see if i can find some pics

No I dont think so. Its painted white and blue, it was on donedeal about two months ago you may have seen it?

They had to do the painting in the shed. Wife/mother wouldn't let it into the house .

"Easily" is quite a vague term when it comes to conversion work .......

Well a dexta has a perkins derived engine? So i dont think a ford engine will be any easier to fit than other brand.

Would be rather interesting trying to stop that thing in an emergency.
Even more so if you had forgotten to lock the brake pedals together.
