Dreamy!!!! I'll take your sheepy farmer stuff and even the leccy debacle over my day yesterday and today.
Wednesday my disco went limp(limp mode) I knew the symptoms it was a split inlet manifold......LR in there wisdom thinks a plastic inlet manifold is a good idea.

So yesterday at 3.30 I set about replacing it. It's in there somewhere.

Found it, who in their right mind thinks not only is a plastic manifold a good idea but to then make it so its a combined manifold and rocker cover and part timing cover all in one🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
And then make it so all the fuel system, common rail and injectors needs to come out too!!aswell as slackening the turbo and removing a zillion pipes and wires !!!!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬

Give me a iffy leccy bill, iffy emails and a ombudsman anyday!!!!!🙄
To be fair, owning anything with a Land rover badge is a really an exercise in self flagellation. But it does explain all the public school types driving them!

catch up......goodness me i've fallen behind:oops:

saturday.....adventure to mart with sjt's aussie traveller guest......apparently the dorper is very popular in oz and commands a premium......i also had no idea that it's a combination of dorset (dor) and blackhead persian (per)......twas a bit of a rush cos needed to be back for hay/strawing pens before K left..........pretty knacked in afternoon

sunday.......more bedroom plastering/decorating...i finally finished prepping the leccy case....still tired

monday.....morning...errands:rolleyes: including butchers to arrange two home kill lambs one for a grazing landlord and another for cakes+ weeta for their help last year:)....afternoon ....mechanic read me the 'riot act'.....'slow down....more rest....you time'.......MACBETH sent me a quite ridiculous bill....i told them to try again and if they could get it right by wednesday i'd hold off submitting the ombudsman complaint

tuesday....got some good news....i'd not sold fat lambs for a while....the abattoir grade sheet came back......really good:love:.......followed by the remittance advice:oops::love::love:....£150/hd....then mart emailed the 3 heavy lambs £485.....cull ewes £80......holiday let is ticking over more than usual....for the first time in a long time things a little rosier....bitta rush round in morning repairing some bedroom floor boards before carpet fitters arrived:rolleyes: (mrs spin paying:)).......i rested in afternoon ....took stock of what's been a hard/difficult winter .....had a little rethink of my 'plans'........MACBETH finally got the bill near right:oops:....i ask for one little final concession

wednesday......morning on sheep......weigh up amalgamated fat pens to free up space to bring last stores in,,,,,,couldn't catch them all in the field and newly amalgamated pen had broken out when K and i returned from the field.....lambs running all over the yard....tbh twas just like the old days😁......office in afternoon...settled with MACBETH:oops:.......bit of an anti climax.....all set for ombudsman and ,all of a sudden, MACBETH ,seemingly motivated, moves to settle....funny that:rolleyes:

bit dull as 'dishwater':bag:

this week

totally exhausted myself again doing the house....somedays just manufacturing the time to do some work is knackering given the constant distractions/demands  ......mrs spin, the admiral and mechanic both read 'riot act' but i sorta get obsessed and become 'lemming like'

so the job was to insulate two sections of the loft .....filling in the spaces twixt rafters......mrs spin and HH had done 4 1/2 bays in 2022.....there's still 1/2 bay to do......there were problems......first i'd over ordered the insulation meaning the sections to do were full of unused boards and they were exactly the same thickness as the rafters....unfortunately ,it transpires, the boards need to be a touch narrower ideally....i remember the girls complaining about it and trouble when plaster boarding:rolleyes:.....they'd also cut the whole lot using hand saws.....i'd not taken much notice of their complaints😁 but a quick recce friday afternoon and i understood the problem:scratchhead:......rethink over weekend and i decided a/ to counter batten the rafters to hold insulation in and give even surface should we wish to plasterboard later and b/ get a long blade for the jigsaw....the result was much easier/quicker progress.....mrs spin said she wanted to 'throttle me' cos of my speed😁....nevertheless it was still horrible awkward work....a mask helps dust but the latter is hard on the eyes/itchy....working in difficult confined space and cleaning up as you go:rolleyes:

sheep ok...touchwood....just entering 'feck up fortnight'😬......off to mart tommoz(y)

easier day today....and BIG NEWS....i became a grandad to 'fergus' at 1pm:love: ......boy and his partner.......mum and baby doing well by all accounts....tad off an 8 pounder:oops:......no official pics yet but i do have this:scratchhead:
