Certainly has been. I spent days catching up after being gone for a couple years (since before @robbie, so the tone has changed..) and everything goes quiet.. And I didn't even comment so it can't be something I said. Hope all is well

yes it can get a bit 'boy humour' dominated at times for which I apologise...but it's nice to have you back as we're a 'bit thin" on lady readers...chopsey is in out and primmy is still AWOL

morale taken a turn for worse...again...wet/cold on farm...admiral playing me up...ringing in evening saying she can't sleep which is not surprising given she sounds most of the day in bed....I've noticed depressed ppl often retreat to bed...sleep giving them relief but not helping mitigating....I myself have been going to bed 8pm...its a slippery slope

on the farm we trudge on....another paddock for fat lambs fenced...another fattening pen made...we're behind on fat lamb selling this year...I suppose lambing month later and drought holding things up..next week is going thru them

little progress on house...poor HH has a bug that's laid her low...did coupla hours Monday and had a tidy up cos got a skip in

two 'sagas'
1/ electricity renewal...our supplier 'corona energy' have aa dirty trick...they send you a renewal with a price but turns out if you sign/return they can change it to day they receive it (small print)...so the letter they sent me was dated 22nd Nov...prices have ticked higher as gas price rose again beginning of Dec...they became so difficult to pin down I switched with a broker...4p/ unit more than renewal letter

saga 2/....remember pony had " choke" other week....well vet has been out 3 times and turns out it's sinusitis....I don't rate him at all....New fangled this technique etc when a good dose of AB would sorted it at outset..I mean pony had snotty nose ffs....fortunately we're insured bit that's not the point..made me cross....row and I'm the villian

boy...who's a teacher had a 'staph a' scare...off work 3 days but clear

not a 'rip roaring' episode for which I apologise but oddly 'spilling it all out' helps

Friday end...my delicate plan at risk of unravelling already

So muad did is home and mutual friends organising footie party sat night (eng v france)....only trouble is I'm not fond of watching England cos everybody gets depressed if they loose..muad did especially so

NOW....I do like to follow test cricket...champs/lg one footie...current/world affairs and ,whilst I'm not a betting man, often bookies can give good insights into things....I've been following World Cup whilst not avidly watching it

I DO...like sorta reverse karma as a sorta philosophy

mix the above 3 things together and I thought if I bet on France then if they win at least Saturdays potential pain is eased...then viewing various odds a 'plan hatched'

morning chores done i plan a trip to nàam..raiding the petty cash for 80 quid before popping home to change...arriving in naam I set off for the Bank....a rather measly cull ewe cheque to pay in....however it soon became clear that I'd forgotten a belt for my trousers and necessitating I hitch them up at regular intervals....at the bank there's not much que but regular cashier not there so ID a problem...that said one of them had served me last week and let's face it...meet me once and you'll never forget right?...WRONG...'HOW DARE SHE' I thought....anyhoo I carry my passport in bank bag so I was OK...but momentarily I thought 'what if I let my trousers fall down?...they're bound to remember me them'....fortunately it also occurred that I'd probably get a lifetime ban thus negating the endeavour....moving on I was relieved that the stewardship payment had arrived....why I should feel like that though ffs...I mean I've been working/shelling out for 11 months...defra still have a lotta 'hearts/mind' work to do TBH

To cut a long story short... you backed at 6/1 and now their price has moved to 15/8 (I hate fractional odds so you backed at 7 and now are trading at 2.9).

You are locking in profit with the movement in price, it's like a cash out offer only better
