Well of course but you always congrtulate the bosses, the staff are expected to sort out the nitty gritty.

It's those big picture people that get the world turning.

:D I thought you would be in one of these.

right lets get started

tuesday/wednesday

remember the 'biblical indigestion' i had sunday night/monday......well it returned with a vengence......not a burger in sight but my new 'fuel additive' seems to blame:rolleyes:.....all in all with the other side effects i was pretty incapacitated.....crawling thru the necessary was enough but i did manage to bale the 5ac wheat straw and sort trailers for carting......the oh deere did not like the 20ft 'meccano' swath one bit.... inferior to the vermeer in that regard but at least she worked and it's done(y)

thursday

so we've had a go at growing some sunflowers on the little field next our house in the village......twas HH's idea for a 'pop up tourist' attraction....i havn't mentioned it before mainly to save my blushes if it went wrong....in the end it didn't go exactly to plan....for some reason the emergence was poor.....a number of possible reasons...it was ex permanent pasture?.....it's strong soil and the cold may didn't help?....i might have planted to deep?......probably a combination of all three in truth

tbh......we shelved the idea until about 10 days ago when they started flowering and so we decided to have a little go:).....if only for the 'learning curve' cos i've a slightly different idea for next year possibly:)......today then we've been clearing up the top part of the field that had fallen into neglect..... nags , failed allotments, chucks, orphan lamb rearing and bonfire site.....probably 5-6 years of abuse had to tidied:rolleyes:........whatever happens with this little 'enterprise' it was a job needed doing(y)

GOOD NEWS:love:.......barclays bank finally know who we are and are happy we are not a 'drugs cartel'......TBF once i got to talk to the lady in canary wharf it was sorted PDQ(y).....'oh some relief from hassle'.....BAD NEWS😭....the barn holiday let ashp has finally expired:banghead:

I was reading in a very highbrow newspaper today..... That one such sunflower field enterprise is having to ask young women to stop taking topless photos amongst the flowers. I am sure you will be on the gate with this Information to hand

Too deep would be my guess. We saved some seed from the garden ones a couple of years ago and I literally chucked it on top of our bird plots before they were direct drilled with something else. So they were only pressed in as they were run over and they came better than the proper drilled mix

That's the 2nd mention of women getting there norks out in amongst fields of sun flowers.
Now, I've been looking into ways of broadening my rotation(@flat10 doesn't think we do rotations properly despite inventing it) so where do I get some sunflower seeds?????
Is there any particular ration of unfettered knockers per acre?????🤔

Don't speak too soon - as soon as they realise the "rollies" you smoke are actually dried sunflower leaves, from the girls' new project, lovingly hand rolled on the thighs of Narfuk maidens (à la Cuban cigars) they'll be down from head office to repossess your cheque book and snip you credit card in half 😱😱
