Diesel from OSR?

There was a time when rapeseed oil in super markets was cheaper than the derv in filling station at the front of the shop, took a while to register why rape oil sales were so high!

when i first started, even to use one litre of veg oil, you had to be registered and submit monthly returns. Otherwise, it was just the same as running on red diesel (iem no duty had been paid)
when they brought out the 2500 litres rule, i deregistred as I was produced below the threshold value. Then i got bored and gave up.
I still have the equipment, wish I had sold it when it was worth something.

i remember the conversation we had at the time "oh, I reckon we must produce about 2400 litres a year", a figure that many around the UK must have arrived at. We kept meticulous records of all the failed batches we suddenly started to have, to account for all the methanol used.....

Was'nt the limit per person NOT per property too.
