Diet feeder tractor

Thinking about buying a second tractor to put on single rotor tub feeder. About 70 hp would be plenty id say. Looking something cheap and cheerful something about 5 or 6 grand. Anyone any ideas would kind of tractor I could get for this sort of money?

Iv been looking for something for a few weeks and you can get bigger tractors for less money the 70 80 HP are really holding their money

Speedy has one in classifieds, good nick I'm told, might have to dig a wee bit deeper though.

You're at the bottom end of anything decent, there.

It needs to be a good starter and, if it's a tub mixer, having a twin speed PTO would be useful. An old Renault would be ideal.

I used to feed up now and again with my old 80hp Renault,it did it but feck it had a stiff clutch.

I'd buy a maxxum dual speed pto and good value for money.

MF 698 here, lives outside all winter, starts every time, mechanically it seems indestructible. The cabs rusting away but it keeps the rain out just about, heater and radio work as well!! Paid £2500 about 5 years ago.

Wouldn't want to use it on any other jobs though!!!!

The Massey sounds the yoke for me must keep an eye out for one , wouldn't spend 10 grand just to drive the feeder.

2 speed gearbox on tub feeder?

Put it in 1000 to clean it out and on smaller mixes with tractor revs low. We have mf 3065 on feeder in summer and it's a pain with no 1000
