Is it dangerous?
I have a question relating to digestate if anyone can help , If being spread as liquid on bare land does it have to be incorporated and if so how quickly. Sorry to hyjack this thread .
That was not digestate, that was the biogas itself. We had to do a similar operation a couple of weeks ago, had a team with breathing apparatus (fully trained) and full working at height precautions. The digestate is very safe unless you drown in it.

Apply with trailing shoe or better still injection. After dribble bar or trailing shoe then a light cultivation helps avoid losses. Splash plate just throws the nitrogen away as ammonia, losing you valuable nutrients and causing air pollution. Also much more chance of runoffI have a question relating to digestate if anyone can help , If being spread as liquid on bare land does it have to be incorporated and if so how quickly. Digestate is digester contents from which almost all the gas has been evolved. Unless the digester has been overloaded (fed and discharged too rapidly), there is nothing left to produce gas from in digestate. The biogas comes from the digestate. If you alter the conditions i.e. allow it to become aerobic again, will the H2S production cease?

That is why I said above to make sure the digester is operated properly, then there will be no risk
