Digging up the dirt on the AHDB soil health scorecard

The soil health scorecard is being developed as part of the Soil Health and Soil Biology Partnership, funded by AHDB and BBRO. It brings together information about the chemical, physical and biological properties of soil. ‘Traffic light’ coding is used to identify properties where further follow-up investigation is needed. Management options that could minimise any potential risks to crop productivity can then be implemented. All new Monitor Farms go through a soil review and in this webinar Dr Elizabeth Stockdale (NIAB) will be reviewing the scorecards with farmers. In this webinar we look at how the results can be used, and challenge the farmers to make changes to improve their scorecard results. Information about soil health and the soil health scorecard is available on the GREATSoils website: ahdb.org.uk/greatsoils.
