Apologies if in wrong section but guessed this is a good place to start
I'm towing a trailer on my disco 4 to IOM on Friday but it's just dawned on me I've never seen a trailer light socket on the back!! Is there a kit I need to buy to be able to plug lights in?

Is it not behind a little panel right in middle of bumper? Look right up from under and should see it, Just 2 little tabs to turn to take little section off

Has it not got a tow bar? If you can't even find tow socket, dare i say but should you be even towing?

It's got the removable tow bar which we've never used as usually tow with defender

If it was supplied from factory then everything for towing should be under that panel including slot for the swan neck hopefully

That's a 13 pin socket. If your trailer has a 7 pin plug or plugs, you can get adapters

I read online last night that earlier disco's you had to buy some kit to run trailer lights which had me a little worried,looks like a trip to halfords today [emoji106]

i got twin sockets on my disco 3
the 13 pin do you push in turn a collar, ,.....hope you get it in on yours due to where they put it

I hope your new trailer doesn't have LED lights.

They don't work on Discovery 3/4....

I'll have a look again in a bit when I'm back home,I presume looking at the pic I shouldn't have a problem with just a single adaptor

I'm pretty sure they are normal lights not LED,nothing's ever simple these days is it

Do you have the swan neck tow hitch , don't think its supplied standard you have to buy it?

led lights do work on a disco 3,.but the lights do a small flash all the time
hoping this will short it,..when get round to fitting it

Yeah I've got that,it was tucked away in the back storage compartment

Landrover replaced ours as a recall to a fixed one @MRT had the same I think
