Hello,
I am writing to you as a final year student at Northumbria studying international relations and politics. I composing this email, to ask you if you might know anyone that might possibly be interested in being involved in a interview as part of my dissertation regarding the affects of Brexit on agriculture here in the UK. As you are such an expert in your field you would be able to provide the upmost knowledge about the affects of Brexit and how it has impacted arable farming in the UK. I am from a livestock farm here in the Yorkshire dales but I am struggling to find arable farmers to interview to ask them how Brexit has affected them as a business. As I am from a livestock based area. I have a keen interest in the political landscape for agriculture, and I’m aiming to have a career in agricultural sector. So thats what inspired me to do my dissertation surrounding agriculture. The interview itself is very informal by nature and will last around 10-15 minutes. The interview can be done over the phone or by video chat and all participants will remain anonymous throughout. It would help me so much if you would be interested in participating, or if you know any arable farmers that might be interested in participating. Your participation will be an valuable addition to my research and findings and could lead to a greater public understanding of the effects of Brexit on the agricultural sector here in the UK.

If you are interested in participating, or know anyone that might possibly be please don’t hesitate to contact me. Also if you have any further questions I’m happy to answer them. Any help I will gladly take.

Kind regards,
Sophie Barker
