Ditch soil retain

Hello I have a 100m long x 1 metre deep ditch I would like to make narrower to make a small track that we can drive along in our cars and 4x4,

The first way 1 was thinking was to put round creosote posts at 6ft spaces then put some platics mesh s
Stuff up the same as you use on grass car parks etc with 10mm square holes in, not sure if strong enough?

Or the more expensive option, crash barrier wall and also using this for the posts?

Pipe the ditch

There’s a few old ditches round here that have stone wall sides, works well, clean out with a spade

Yes, pipe it, you know it makes sense, no one wants to be messing about with spades.

If you do make a retaining fence, creosote posts are not liked for use so close to a watercourse
